Trish Godman MSP

Deputy Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, Trish Godman has been an MSP for West Renfrewshire since 1999. A member of numerous Cross Party Groups such as the Cross-Party Group on Women, Ms Godman was also Chairman of the Local Government Committee in her first term. A former councillor for Strathclyde Regional Council and Glasgow City Council, Ms Godman is particularly interested in issues regarding mental illness, alcohol and drug addiction. 


Annabel Goldie

Following the resignation of Scottish Conservative leader David McLetchie in 2005, Ms. Goldie was the sole nominee for the leadership. Prior to her appointment as Leader, Ms. Goldie was Vice chair of the Scottish Tories in 1992, becoming Deputy Chair in 1995 and Chair in 1997 following the resignation of Michael Hirst. Director of the Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust, Ms. Goldie is also a member of the Court of the University of Strathclyde, the Vice Chairman of the Salvation Army West Scotland Advisory Board, and an Elder in the Church of Scotland. 


William Wilson

Dr. Bill Wilson was born in Renfrewshire and educated at Glasgow, Aberdeen and Queen's (Belfast) universities.  Bill started his career as an environmental scientist, he then spent a year producing training material for university researchers, before moving to statistics via IT.

Mr Wilson has previously fought elections for the SNP in Glasgow Anniesland, Glasgow Maryhill and Paisley & Renfrewshire North.

Mr Wilson became infamous within the SNP when he challenged the then leader, John Swinney, for the top job in the party.
