Cathie Craigie MSP

A member of the Communities Committee and Substitute Justice 2 Committee, Ms. Craigie previously sat on the audit and social inclusion committees. She is seen as one of McConnell's closest allies. Working as part of an audit team for chartered accountants before entering politics, Ms Craigie was also previously a councillor in Cumbernauld, also serving on the North Lanarkshire Council and acting as one of the council's representatives on COSLA.


Jamie Hepburn

Jamie joined the SNP aged 18 and became active in the party's student wing as well as in his home city of Glasgow. During his time as a student, he served as Senior Vice President of Glasgow University Students' Representative Council and as convenor of the SNP student wing. He is currently employed by Alex Neil MSP as his research assistant. He previously stood as a council candidate for the Firhill ward in Glasgow in 2003, and Cumbernauld, Kilsyth & Kirkintilloch East at the 2005 Westminster election.

Hugh O?Donnell

Hugh stood for the Scottish Parliament seat of Cumbernauld and Kilsyth in the first Scottish Parliament Elections in 1999, coming third with 6.64% of the vote. He stood for the same seat again in the 2003 Scottish Parliament Elections coming fourth with 5.18% of the vote.

In addition to standing in the Scottish Parliament Elections Hugh has contested Westminster seats. He stood for Falkirk in the 2001 General Election gaining 15% of the vote. In the 2005 General Election he stood for the seat of Cumbernauld, Kilsyth, and Kirkintilloch East polling 7.1%of the vote.





Anne Harding

Anne has been a Councillor for Torbrex in Stirling Council since 2003 but is standing down on 3 May.  She currently works in the Scottish Parliament and assists the Conservative Spokesmen on Health; and Energy and Environment.   She previously worked as a legal recruitment consultant and before that set up a business partnership with her husband managing several retail outlets and a confectionery wholesale business covering Central Scotland.   She met her husband Keith (an MSP from 1999 ? 2003) in Zambia whilst working for the Government of Zambia in the '70s
