Karen Gillon MSP

Deputy Convener of the Procedures Committee, Ms. Gillon is also a Member of the Enterprise and Culture Committee and Substitute Member of the Justice 1 Committee.

An active member of Unison during the 1990's, Ms. Gillon served on the STUC General Council and the Labour Party Scottish Executive. Later working as Personal Assistant to Rt. Hon Helen Liddell MP, Ms. Gillon became the first woman to be elected to the Scottish Parliament as MSP for Clydesdale in 1999.



Aileen Campbell

Originally from Perthshire, Aileen Campbell grew up on her parents' tenant farm. In 1998 she moved to the West Coast to study Politics and History at the University of Glasgow. Aileen is currently national convener of the SNP youth wing, the Young Scots for Independence. Since graduating, Aileen has worked as editor of construction magazine Keystone and was editorial assistant on the pro-independence newspaper, the Scottish Standard. Aileen has also worked for Nicola Sturgeon and currently works as a researcher for Shona Robison MSP and Stewart Hosie MP.


Colin McGavigan

Colin has lived in the historic 18th Century village of Leadhills in Clydesdale for over 15 years. Where he currently serves as Chairman of Leadhills Community Council.

A graduate in management from The Queen's College he has spent most of his career in business development, both in the UK and the United States and is now a business development consultant working in both the public and private sector.

He is Chairman of C2c a committee of Cancer Research UK (Scotland) dedicated to working with senior figures in the business community across Scotland to raise funds for research into and awareness of, cancers that affect men.


Fraser Grieve

Fraser is a long time supporter of the Lib Dems, and stood for this seat as the party candidate in the last Scottish elections in 2003.
